Open Call for Artists | Apply by August 25
Little Liberia
About This Opportunity
Little Liberia, a Liberian‑inspired restaurant and community hub in Detroit, is inviting emerging and established artists to submit original artwork for its rotating art exhibition. The call welcomes works that celebrate culture, identity, community, storytelling, resilience, heritage, or the African diaspora. Artists working in mixed media, textile art, or other wall‑display mediums are encouraged to apply. Selected pieces will be displayed inside Little Liberia for approximately 90 days, giving visitors the chance to view and purchase artwork while enjoying the restaurant’s culinary offerings. The application deadline is August 25, 2026, and the submission process is free of charge. Applicants must provide images of their artwork, an artist statement, and artwork information via a Typeform application. The exhibition offers artists a public platform and the opportunity to sell their work, but does not provide housing or travel support. The event takes place in Detroit, Michigan, USA, and is conducted in English.
