About This Opportunity

Lothringer 13 Halle, in cooperation with Artist‑in‑Residence Munich, invites applications for three transdisciplinary residencies as part of the research and exhibition project Curating Journalism. The residency supports research‑based projects that connect artistic, journalistic and curatorial practice. Selected residents will spend three months (8 January – 26 March 2027) at Ebenböckhaus in Munich, receiving a monthly stipend of €1,400 (total €4,200), up to €1,400 in production funding, free accommodation, and travel reimbursement of up to €350. Residents also gain studio space, mentorship from the Lothringer 13 Halle team, participation in a public event, and a presentation of their project at Lothringer 13 Halle. Applications are accepted from professional cultural practitioners residing in Europe (excluding Bavaria) and must be submitted as a single PDF in English or German by 10 August 2026, 23:59 CET.

Restrictions

Applicants who previously completed a residency at Villa Waldberta or Ebenböckhaus are not eligible. The applicant’s primary residence must be in one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.
