Ateliers Fourwinds
Ateliers Fourwinds
About This Opportunity
Ateliers Fourwinds is an artist residency program situated on a 2‑hectare property in Aureille, Provence, France. The residency offers four large studio spaces, a communal kitchen, a library, and on‑site accommodation in a studio apartment and two cabins by a swimming pool. Artists can stay from a minimum of two to three weeks up to six months, with the program running from early April to the end of September. The residency is open to professional and emerging artists, students, and practitioners of any discipline, with no specific age or nationality restrictions. Applicants must submit a portfolio of 12 photographs, a CV, a project outline, and optionally a letter of recommendation. The residency is paid by the artist, with a weekly fee of approximately €500 covering board, food, and studio use; individual travel expenses are not covered. The program prioritises creative dialogue and independent work, and does not require a finished output, though an exhibition at the residency may be offered if the artist feels prepared. The residency operates on a rolling basis, accepting applications throughout the year.
