Artwork Stretcher – Kate Owen Gallery

Kate Owen Gallery, a multiple award‑winning commercial gallery specialising in contemporary Aboriginal art in Rozelle, Sydney, is seeking a physically strong, hands‑on worker to join the team as an Artwork Stretcher (also described as Art Gallery Framer). The role is casual, 1‑2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), offering $35‑$40 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus superannuation. Responsibilities include building timber frames, stretching artworks, preparing pieces for clients and exhibitions, and operating a mitre saw and nail gun. The gallery will provide on‑site training, but candidates must have good spoken English, a can‑do attitude, and permanent legal rights to work in Australia.
