Arts & Letters Club of Toronto Foundation Poetry Award

The Arts & Letters Club of Toronto Foundation Poetry Award is a $500 cash prize awarded annually to the best single poem by an emerging Canadian poet. The award is presented in partnership with the League of Canadian Poets and is open to Canadian residents in the early stages of their career. Submissions are accepted each year from June 1 to August 10, with the most recent cycle concluding on August 10, 2026. The winner receives the monetary award and a one‑year complimentary membership to the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto. The Foundation encourages submissions from LGBTQ2S+, BIPOC, and other equity‑deserving groups. The award is judged by a panel of volunteer poets. The Foundation’s website provides the full guidelines and submission instructions.
