Artist Performance Residency

The Barrow Group’s Artist Performance Residencies support artists in bringing new work into the room. Designed to remove barriers and foster creative exploration, the residencies provide donated rehearsal and performance space, a dedicated staff liaison for planning and support, and front‑of‑house assistance for public events. Residencies may culminate in a reading, scene sharing, or small‑scale production, offering artists the opportunity to explore, refine, and deepen their work in a generous, process‑driven environment. Applications are open to NYC‑based theatre artists – actors, directors, playwrights and collaborators working on original or self‑generated projects – and are reviewed on a rolling basis with no application fee. The program aims to expand access to space and create meaningful opportunities for artists to share work‑in‑progress with audiences.
