Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly
About This Opportunity
The Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly (ACGOW) is a nonprofit, artist‑run gallery in Westerly, Rhode Island that presents a new juried exhibition each month. Artists can apply for membership to gain regular exhibition opportunities, an individual artist page on the gallery website, commission‑free sales (except for the yearly silent auction), and participation in gallery events. Membership types include Full‑Time Artist Member (annual dues $280), Adjunct Member ($600 with 20% commission), Snowbird Member ($200 for six consecutive months), and Associate Member ($48). Applicants submit an online application with images of their work; applications are reviewed by a jury of five members at the end‑of‑month meetings. Membership responsibilities include serving on committees and a four‑hour gallery shift per month for full‑time and snowbird members. The program operates on a rolling basis with no fixed deadline, accepting applications year‑round.
