Art Explora – Cité internationale des Arts Residency Programme 2027

The Art Explora – Cité internationale des Arts Residency Programme 2027 is a biannual, 3‑to‑6‑month residency based in Montmartre, Paris. Open to artists, artist collectives, researchers, curators and writers of all nationalities, the call requires a minimum of five years of professional activity and an international exhibition or research record. Applicants may choose the SOLO programme (individual artists or writers) or the COLLECTIVE programme (artist collectives or artist‑researcher collaborations). Each resident receives a fully equipped studio‑apartment (≈50 m²), a monthly living grant (1 000 EUR for solo, 2 000 EUR shared for collectives), a production grant (up to 3 000 EUR), and round‑trip travel to/from Paris. The residency encourages interdisciplinary work and engagement with the French artistic and professional scene, focusing on scientific, technological, social and environmental themes. Selection is made by a committee of international experts from art, curation and research, including representatives of the Cité internationale des Arts and the Art Explora Foundation. Selected residents will be announced in January 2027 for Session 1 (March–August 2027) and in June 2027 for Session 2 (September 2027–February 2028).
