About This Opportunity

Art at Work is a program run by Blue Line Arts that connects local businesses in the greater Placer County and Sacramento regions with the arts community. Artists aged 18 and older may apply to have their two‑dimensional, ready‑to‑hang artwork displayed on a quarterly rotation in participating business locations. Submissions are accepted via an online Airtable form and must be delivered in‑person; shipping is not permitted. Selected works are displayed on consignment, with artists receiving a 75 % commission on any sales, while Blue Line Arts handles installation assistance, labeling, and sales processing. The program aims to promote emerging artists, enhance the aesthetic environment of local businesses, and provide exposure and sales opportunities. No application fee is required, and there is no fixed deadline – applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and artists are notified when their work is selected. The initiative is open to all disciplines that produce two‑dimensional works suitable for hanging, provided the artist can install the piece using wire (no sawtooth hangers).
