Art Aloud Art inspired by the written word — open to all media, all ages.

Academy Art & Frame Company, a custom framing shop and consignment gallery in Colorado Springs, runs a series of monthly open calls for artists to exhibit their work. Calls include themed shows such as Art Aloud, Military Appreciation, How Do You See God?, Miniatures & Small Works, and the MASSIVE Art Show. Most calls have no entry fee; the Miniatures show requires a fee (amount not specified). Artists submit a letter of inquiry, biography/statement, and photos of their work. Accepted pieces are displayed in the gallery and featured in a reception. The gallery accepts all media and ages, but prioritises local artists for consignment and exhibition space. No housing or travel support is provided.

Limit 6 works per artist. All work must be original, for sale (subject to up to a 50% gallery commission across the participating venues), and ready to hang with wire (no sawtooth hangers).
