Advanced Studies Program in Dance and Neuroscience
Deadline: September 28, 2026

About This Opportunity

A pioneering program merging neuroscience, choreography, pedagogy, technology, and breathwork to redefine the future of dance, performance, and embodied creativity. Where: online When: October 5th, 2026 Deadline for applications: September 28th, 2026 Supported by leading European universities and internationally recognised specialists, the program brings together collaborators from institutions including City, University of London, Complutense University of Madrid, among others. Designed for forward-thinking movement professionals, this unique program empowers dancers, choreographers, movement directors, actors, educators, therapists and coaches to expand their practice far beyond conventional boundaries. Participants will gain innovative choreographic tools, neuroscience-informed creative methodologies, and advanced pedagogical approaches that redefine how movement, learning, and performance are understood today. A strong emphasis is placed on technology applied to artistic creation and research, enabling participants to explore new intersections between movement, digital innovation, neuroscience, and embodied practice. Throughout the program, students will develop the capacity to apply their expertise across multiple contexts — from stage performance and camera work to film, advertising, education, research, and therapeutic environments. As a new feature of this second edition, the program will also offer an in-depth exploration of Breathwork applied to performance, providing participants with practical tools to enhance presence, emotional regulation, creativity, resilience, and embodied awareness in both artistic and professional settings. More than a training experience, this program offers participants the opportunity to distinguish themselves with a unique international certification awarded by the European Institute of Movement Science — a credential designed for professionals seeking to position themselves at the forefront of contemporary performance, neuroscience, creativity, and innovation. This groundbreaking initiative emerges from the collaboration between the European Institute of Movement Science and Martz Contemporary Dance Company —
