2027 Irving Open Call

The 2027 Irving Open is an annual exhibition open call hosted by Irving Gallery in Oxford, inviting artists from around the world to submit original visual artworks completed in 2024, 2025 or 2026. The call accepts all visual media—painting, works on paper, photography, textiles, sculpture and ceramics—provided each piece is a unique, one‑off creation. Artists may submit up to five works per Submission Pass, which costs £25 until 31 August (Early Bird) and £30 from 1 September. The deadline for submissions is 23 October 2026 (11.59 pm UK time). Selected works will be curated into a group exhibition opening on 5 February 2027 and running until 28 February 2027, with an online catalogue available until 31 May 2027. The gallery will provide exhibition space, marketing, promotion, installation support and an opening event. One artist whose work is selected will be awarded a solo exhibition at Irving Gallery in 2028, including installation, marketing, promotion and an opening event. The gallery encourages artists whose practice aligns with its values of solidarity, climate justice, anti‑fascism and equality, but the call is otherwise open to all disciplines within the visual arts. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of their works, and for collecting unsold pieces after the exhibition.
