2027 Great Basin National Park Artist in Residence (winter, summer, and fall)
Great Basin National Park
About This Opportunity
Great Basin National Park’s Artist-in-Residence program offers three 2‑3 week residencies for 2027 (winter, summer, and fall). Selected professional visual artists, writers, musicians, or other media creators will live on‑site, develop work inspired by the park’s landscape, culture, and wildlife, and present a public program. The winter residency provides park housing (a furnished private bedroom with shared kitchen and bathroom), while the summer and fall residencies are camping‑only, with gear supplied by the Great Basin National Park Foundation. One residency is reserved for a regional artist who lives and works in Nevada or Utah. Applicants must submit a resume, personal statement, and discipline‑specific work samples through the online application portal. No entry fee is required. The program aims to foster artistic interpretation of the park and engage the public through exhibitions, performances, or digital portfolios.
