2027 ArtFields Festival Artist Competition & Public Art Proposals

The 15th annual ArtFields Festival in Lake City, South Carolina (April 15 – May 1 2027) invites emerging and established visual artists residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia to submit a single 2‑D or 3‑D artwork (or a site‑specific public‑art proposal) for its signature juried competition. Submissions are accepted from September 1 to November 1 2026 via the ArtBooth platform, with a $25 non‑refundable entry fee for the visual‑art competition (public‑art proposals are fee‑free). The competition awards a $50,000 Grand Prize, a $25,000 Second Place, and two $12,500 People’s Choice Awards, totaling more than $100,000 in cash. Selected works will be exhibited throughout the three‑week festival, with additional exposure through ArtFields’ marketing channels. Artists must be at least 18 years old, have lived in one of the eligible states for six consecutive months, and submit original work created after 2024. Winners are required to keep their artwork in the festival’s custody for a 90‑day post‑festival exhibition. Artists are responsible for transportation and any equipment needed for installation; no housing or travel support is provided. The call is recurring, occurring annually as part of the festival’s program.

Exhibition during the three‑week festival, cash prizes, promotional exposure, possible acquisition by ArtFields/Lake City Creative Alliance, artist label and catalog listing.

Must reside in one of 12 southeastern US states for at least 6 months before submission; age 18+; work created after 2024; cannot be previous year’s prize winners; only one work per artist; no AI‑generated works; site‑specific proposals must be feasible; public‑art proposals are fee‑free.
