2027 AAI | Cuchifritos Curatorial Open Call at Artists Alliance Inc

Artists Alliance Inc (AAI) announces the 2027 Curatorial Open Call for Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space, located inside Essex Market in New York, USA. Curators and curatorial collectives are invited to submit exhibition proposals that engage with the theme of (Re)Building – exploring how cultural practitioners reconstruct, repair, and reimagine the forms and systems that shape collective life. Three exhibitions will be selected for presentation during the Fall/Winter 2027–2028 season. The call is open to curators of all nationalities and professional backgrounds; curatorial collectives may apply with a single submission. Applicants enrolled in degree‑granting programmes during the exhibition period are not eligible, and artists curating may not include their own work in the proposed show. Selected curators will receive exhibition space at Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space, which is ADA‑accessible and free to visit. No financial support is specified; applicants based outside New York City must arrange their own accommodation for on‑site work. Notification of selected proposals will be sent in January 2027. The application deadline is 6 November 2026, 11:59 p.m. ET.
