About This Opportunity
The Tokyo Design Awards is an international competition organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA) that celebrates visionary design shaping the future of how people live, move, interact, and experience the world. The 2026 Season #2 invites designers, agencies, companies, studios, and students worldwide to submit projects produced, launched, or released on or after 1 January 2022. Submissions are made entirely online and must include a written brief, visual materials, and optional supporting documentation or motion content links. The competition runs through several phases: Early Bird (May 8 – June 3 2026), Regular (June 4 – July 1 2026), Final (July 2 – August 5 2026), Final Extension (August 6 – September 9 2026), and Last‑Minute (September 10 – October 15 2026). Winners receive the Tokyo Design Awards statuette, personalized certificates, and extensive editorial exposure through IAA platforms and partner media, providing international recognition for their work. The competition covers a broad range of disciplines, including architectural, interior, product, lighting, furniture, packaging, transportation, landscape, and conceptual & experimental design, as well as emerging designer and honorary designer distinctions.
