About This Opportunity

The non‑profit cultural organization Photonisos Arts & Culture NPO announces the 1st International Mute Photo Festival (IMPhF 2027) and invites photographers from around the globe to submit photographic series created exclusively with children’s thermal print cameras. The festival’s central theme is “Nature ate the pixels”, encouraging works that explore humanity’s relationship with the natural world. Submissions are accepted in four thematic categories – Landscape, Symbiosis, Rebirth, Future – and in two age categories: Adults (18+) with 6‑9 images, and Children & Youth (under 18) with 5 images. The open call runs from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027 (23:59 EEST). Entry is free. The jury will select 15 adult series and 5 youth series for exhibition in the Old Customs Warehouses, Karlovasi, Samos, Greece, during July 2027. Selected artists receive full coverage of production, printing, and travel & accommodation costs (the top‑awarded artist receives complete travel and lodging support) and will be featured in the official festival catalog.
