San Japan, the anime and gaming convention in San Antonio, Texas, runs two yearly art contests – a T‑Shirt Contest and a Mega Art Contest – under the theme “Food”. Artists submit original fan‑art in an anime‑style (no AI‑generated work, no overtly sexual or disturbing content) in EPS, AI, PSD, TIF or high‑resolution PNG/JPG formats with layers retained. Submissions are free. Winners receive a 30″ × 18′ Artist Alley booth (valued at over $1,200) and four Artist Alley badges, plus the possibility of additional merchandise or cash compensation. The 2026 contest closed on June 1 2026; the next edition will open on October 15 2026.
