PACT Zollverein invites artists, researchers, activists and technologists to submit projects for IMPACT26 – Friction Energy, a transdisciplinary symposium exploring practices of encounter, negotiation and cooperation. The event will take place October 30–November 2, 2026 in Essen, Germany. The call welcomes proposals rooted in artistic, scientific, social, activist or technological fields that address the rupture between isolated decision‑making systems and the interconnected social‑planetary web. Selected participants will present their work during the public days of the symposium and engage in closed sessions with international experts. Remuneration is offered, travel costs are covered and local accommodation is provided. The call is open to international contributors; no application fee is required.
