Canvas for Change – Arte per la sostenibilità

Canvas for Change is an initiative of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bremen Foundation that invites members of the University of Bremen – students, staff, and alumni – to submit two‑dimensional, wall‑mounted artworks (paintings, drawings, prints, etc.) for a sales exhibition and auction. Submissions are made digitally, with a maximum of one artwork per participant and a self‑set price (minimum €50). Up to 200 works will be displayed at the Forum am Domshof in Bremen for about one week in December 2026; the majority are selected by lottery, with some curated selections. Proceeds from sales support sustainability projects initiated by university members. Artists retain ownership of their works, which are not insured during the exhibition and will be returned if unsold. The call aims to combine artistic engagement with social responsibility, highlighting creative talent within the university community and contributing to sustainable development in Bremen.
