Bloedel Reserve
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

The Creative Residency program at Bloedel Reserve invites artists, writers, composers, designers, and other innovative thinkers to spend three weeks living and working in a two‑bedroom, two‑bath house situated within the 140‑acre garden and forest of the reserve on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Residents receive unlimited 24/7 access to the reserve’s gardens, forests, meadows, and wildlife habitats, as well as the use of a Smart Car (valid driver’s license required). The residency is designed to foster creative thinking inspired by nature, encouraging projects that explore the relationship between people and the natural world. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, propose a nature‑related project, and agree to present a public talk, workshop, or performance during their stay. No pets are permitted. Applications for the 2027 cohort are open until September 1, 2026. The program provides housing, studio space, and access to the reserve’s resources but does not include a monetary stipend. Selected residents join a diverse community of past participants ranging from visual artists to composers and environmental researchers.
