À Propos de Cette Opportunité

KAGANHOTEL Artist-in-Residence is a residency program located in Kyoto, Japan, that provides artists with studio space, shared living facilities, and a supportive environment for creation and research. The program welcomes artists from a wide range of disciplines—including visual arts, performing arts, craft, film, and other media—who are actively producing or researching. Applicants must be able to respect communal living rules and be able to conduct their own production or research during the stay. The residency is open to artists up to 40 years old, with flexibility for individual consultation. The program offers a minimum residency of two months, with the possibility of longer stays (six months or more) depending on availability and project needs. Participants receive a rent subsidy (¥79,000/month for the two‑month program, ¥49,000/month for longer stays) plus utilities, and an initial fee (¥22,000 for the two‑month program, ¥88,000 for longer stays). The residency includes studio space, access to a gallery and lounge for exhibitions, and support from staff for production and living matters. There is no monetary stipend or travel support, but the program provides a conducive environment for artistic practice and networking with other residents.
