Center for the Arts in Jackson, Wyoming is inviting artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a temporary light-based installation that will celebrate the Center’s 20th Anniversary. The installation will be installed in the Center Theater Gallery and will remain on view for approximately eight months to one year, from March 1 2027 to January 31 2028. The call is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ); a site-specific proposal is not required at this stage. Artists working with projection, LED technology, interactive media, fiber optics, kinetic light, sculpture, or other illuminated media are encouraged to apply. The selected artist will receive a commission of up to $20,000 USD, which covers all project-related expenses including artist fees, design, fabrication, equipment, shipping, travel, installation, de-installation, insurance, and other costs. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. MDT on August 19 2026. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, artist statement, CV, 8–10 images of completed work, an image list, and three professional references through the CaFÉ platform. No entry fee is required.

Commission of up to $20,000 USD covering artist fees, design, fabrication, equipment, shipping, travel, installation, de-installation, insurance, and other project-related expenses.
