关于此机会

The Sound of Silence Artist Residency, hosted by Labirinto Eclético, invites curators and creators from a wide range of disciplines—including visual artists, writers, stage photographers, performance artists, musicians, architects, landscape designers, and guerrilla gardeners—to spend 8‑12 weeks in a secluded olive farm setting near Elvas, Portugal. The residency offers free lodging in a loft‑style side building with kitchen and bathroom, a 12 m² studio, Wi‑Fi, and an electric bike for local travel. Participants are expected to engage in light caretaking of the property in exchange for the free accommodation. The program is unpaid but provides a supportive environment with access to a 20 ha olive grove, pool, pergola, and ancient olive trees, fostering a contemplative creative process. Applicants must have a minimum knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese, and those with cat allergies, insect or hay fever, or who dislike nature may not be suitable. The residency runs in multiple periods: Oct 24 2026–Dec 20 2027, Jan 4 2027–Mar 4 2027, Mar 15 2027–May 15 2027, and May 20 2027–Jul 15 2027, indicating a recurring schedule. Applications are submitted via a Google Forms link, with no application fee. The residency is open to artists worldwide and offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in a quiet, natural environment while creating and sharing work at the end of the stay.
