艺术联盟的驻地艺术家（AiR）项目

The Artist in Residence (AiR) Program at The Arts League is a two‑year residency that begins each March and supports a cohort of four emerging and mid‑career Philadelphia artists at a time. Residents are selected through a curated process that includes invitation, nominations from the Board, and recommendations from past residents. The residency provides sustained support for artists to experiment with new work, deepen their practice, and develop toward a public exhibition. Residents receive dedicated access to the AiR studio, use of the organization’s facilities outside scheduled classes and workshops, and the opportunity to enroll in one class or workshop per session free of charge. They also receive ten hours of complimentary space rental each year to host their own programming, can sell work commission‑free through the Arts League Art Market, and receive professional documentation of their work. Each resident collaborates with the Arts League to produce a published artist’s book and is featured in the gallery for one month each year, which may be used for a solo exhibition, a curated show, or community events. The program is designed to nurture the creative growth and professional advancement of Philadelphia artists, supporting them from early experimentation through the presentation of new work.
