The Performing Lab Retreat, hosted by Vinyasa Earth in Jaipur, India, offers a five‑day residential program (January 17‑22, 2027) for artists working in performance, dance, theatre, music and related fields. Participants will engage in an intensive curriculum that blends physical theatre, Kalaripayattu, rhythm training, voice work, clowning and collective creation under the guidance of internationally acclaimed practitioner Sukh Ahlström. The residency provides daily training sessions, creative laboratories, two vegetarian meals per day, access to studios and creative spaces, and culminates in a final showcase where participants present their work. An official Certificate of Participation is awarded. Various accommodation options are available (shared dormitory, cottage) with corresponding fees, and a limited number of scholarships of ₹15,015 (inclusive of GST) are offered to emerging artists who apply for financial assistance via email. The program is open to actors, dancers, circus artists, directors, musicians, educators and anyone interested in embodied creativity, with no prior experience required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all places are filled.
