The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) is calling for original 2‑D or 3‑D works that use natural or synthetic textiles, weaving, embroidery, quilting, or other fiber techniques. The biennial Fiber Options exhibition is open to artists residing in any U.S. state or territory, Canada, or Mexico. Entries are judged blind by professional jurors and the winning works will be exhibited in MFA’s Circle Gallery from October 28 to November 21, 2026. The call accepts up to six works per artist, with a maximum size of 72 inches. Entry fees are $45 for one or two works (MFA members pay $30) and $6.75 for each additional entry. Winners receive a $1,000 award. Artists must submit through ArtCall.org by August 26, 2026, and will be notified by October 1. The exhibition will include a virtual awards ceremony on October 28.

Workshop, mentorship, facilities, equipment

All work must be uploaded through artcall.org. File size may be no more than 10 MB. For video submissions: you must put the link to the video in the Linked Web Resource field, and then upload a still frame from the video. For accepted video submissions, the artist will be expected to deliver the file to MFA on a thumbdrive. To enter online, you will need an artcall.org account that includes an email address and a password. There is no charge to create an artcall.org account.
