The New Production Grant Program, administered by Pro Helvetia, supports independent performing arts companies and artists with a clear connection to Switzerland in creating new live, digital, and hybrid productions of nationwide significance. Applicants must be independent companies or individual artists residing in or holding Swiss citizenship, and must present at least two confirmed venues (one premiere venue and at least one venue in Switzerland) that pay appropriate fees. Projects must be co‑financed by municipal or cantonal bodies, and all participants must be remunerated according to professional association recommendations. The application requires a project description, details of the individuals involved, written venue confirmations, a detailed production‑only budget, and a financial plan showing other funding sources. Submissions are accepted twice a year, with deadlines on 1 March and 1 September 2026. Successful projects receive financial support covering production costs for the first performance series.
