关于此机会

The City of Leuven, LOV2030 and Shift are seeking an artist (or artist collective) to create a new, temporary light art installation on the scaffolding hoarding of Leuven’s historic town hall, to be presented during the Wintertijd festival from 8 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. The commission offers a budget of €50,000, including VAT and production costs, and includes a participatory process with young people (aged 12–25) from Shift, a digital youth centre in Leuven. Applicants must submit a proposal (max 15 pages) outlining artistic vision, technical feasibility, and the collaborative process with Shift participants. The selection consists of an application review followed by an interview. The project aims to create a visually striking, accessible light artwork that engages with the town hall’s architecture and contributes to the warm, cosy atmosphere of the winter festivities. The work will be projected onto the scaffolding canvas covering the façade during the restoration period. The call is open to individual artists and artist collectives, with no nationality restrictions. The deadline for submissions is 1 September 2026, with interviews scheduled for the week of 14 September 2026 and the award announced on 1 October 2026.
