Dolphin Wilding
关于此机会
Event Horizon Artist Residency, founded by Julienne Dolphin Wilding in March 2018, provides a private creative retreat on 8 acres of olive‑grove land near the sea in Crete, Greece. The program offers a 145 sq m studio built from repurposed shipping containers, equipped with insulation and utilities. Artists can stay for a minimum of two weeks up to three months, working alone or with partners/assistants. Accommodation options include the Architect’s House, a windmill in Neapolis Town (≈10 km from the studio), and a tiny‑home gypsy caravan in Fourni Village (≈2.5 km). Bursaries are available on‑site, and donations are requested per day to support the residency; there is no formal application fee. The residency is open to artists of any discipline who share a commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological awareness. Applications are evaluated by Julienne Dolphin Wilding against six criteria, with video interviews conducted via an app. Additional resources include a winter studio workspace in Neapolis Town and access to local cultural and natural environments. The call is rolling, with no fixed deadline, and offers studio space, accommodation, and a supportive rural setting for production and experimentation.
