公开征集艺术家参与“大气波”艺术节（利耶帕亚——2027年欧洲文化之都）

As part of Liepāja’s designation as the European Capital of Culture 2027, the association ASTE (Art, Science, Technology, Education) launches an open call for artists to develop sound‑based public artworks that respond to wind, climate and listening culture. The project, titled “Atmospheric Waves”, will culminate in a festival from 12–16 May 2027, featuring an international exhibition, workshops, sound walks and a symposium. Five artists will be selected to receive an artist fee of EUR 1,500, a development budget of EUR 3,500, and paid accommodation at the Laidi Manor Residence for a two‑month residency (April–May 2027). Their works will be installed in the urban environment of Liepāja and remain on display until November 2027. The call welcomes sound artists, sculptors, architects, designers, visual and media artists, and interdisciplinary practitioners worldwide. Applicants must be able to travel to Latvia and are responsible for their own visas and travel documents. Submissions are accepted until 4 September 2026 via the provided Google Form. Selected artists will participate in the festival’s exhibition, symposium, and residency, contributing to a dialogue between art, science and society on climate and environmental change.
