The Water & Rock Nature residency invites artists, writers, musicians, botanists, scientists and any creatives whose work engages with nature to spend three weeks (22 nights) on Thassos island, Greece, from 31 October to 22 November 2026. Participants stay in a traditional Greek house in a mountain village, with private bedrooms, a shared kitchen, bathroom and communal areas, and a large indoor studio equipped with a wood stove and Wi‑Fi. The program includes weekly themed excursions, group brainstorming sessions, regular hikes, and one‑on‑one support from host and nature guide Leah Heming. No meals are provided, but residents have access to a shared kitchen. The residency fee is €1250 for the full stay, covering accommodation, excursions and program activities; applicants are encouraged to seek external funding if needed. Applications are free to submit and are reviewed after a video interview. The call is open to creators of any discipline, career stage, and nationality, with the only restriction that pets are not allowed. The residency is part of Water & Rock Nature’s annual program and will culminate in optional presentations of the work produced.
