The Finnish Cultural Foundation (SKR) provides a Mobility Grant aimed at professional artists, art journalists and art curators who wish to undertake international collaborative projects, residencies, exhibition work or festival participation outside Finland. The grant covers travel, accommodation, residency fees, shipping, insurance and other unusual expenses directly related to the project, with a funding range of €3,000 to €10,000 per application. Applicants may be individual artists, working groups, or registered organisations such as associations, provided they reside or operate in Finland. Trips must last at least two consecutive weeks (or one week for groups).

The application period is open year‑round, with three evaluation rounds each year: 15 April, 15 August and 15 December. The next deadline is 15 December 2026, and the first round opened on 1 October 2026. Applications are submitted through the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s online Grant Service. Required attachments include a CV, a portfolio or work samples, and any letters of invitation or contracts with partners. The grant does not cover daily living allowances or tuition fees. Successful applicants receive the grant amount within one month after the evaluation round (by 15 February, 15 June or 15 October, respectively).
