2026年“Material Works”艺术奖

Material Works Art, an artist‑run platform founded in 2024 and based in Chicago, USA, invites visual artists worldwide to apply for its 2026 Art Award. The award provides a one‑time cash prize of $2,500, which is exchanged for an original artwork of comparable value that becomes part of the Material Works Art collection. In addition to the monetary award, the selected artist receives covered shipping costs, an interview and archived online profile, promotion on Material Works’ social media channels, and the opportunity to serve as a jury member for future calls. Shortlisted artists also receive interview features and social media exposure. Applications are limited to the first 300 submissions or until the deadline of 6 December 2026, whichever comes first. Each applicant may submit one portfolio (18 + years old) consisting of 1‑15 images, an artist statement, and optional CV, studio image, and artwork for the collection. A non‑refundable application review fee of $40 is required via PayPal. The call is open to visual artists working in painting, photography, installation, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, experimental and conceptual art; music, writing, culinary, film and time‑based media are excluded. The award is recurring, with previous editions listed for 2025 and 2024.

Submission review by professionals from the photography field, featuring across festival/partner social networks and websites, personal exhibition project at the Rotterdam Photo 2026, special categories awards and cash prizes, opportunity to participate in the Rotterdam Photo Talks and RP networking events, publication and inclusion in the Festival program, international press exposure, opportunity to exhibit in Barcelona, Finland, and Switzerland.
