长期居留
The Weaving Workshop
关于此机会
The Long Residency is a six‑month studio residency program offered by The Weaving Workshop, a community‑focused studio and educational space located in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Designed specifically for Chicago‑area artists, the residency provides consistent, affordable access to a shared workspace equipped with a dedicated 20" × 48" shelf for storing work and materials, 24‑hour studio access, a dye area, and a range of studio tools. Residents also benefit from discounted basketry and studio materials, as well as a monthly studio calendar that highlights classes, workshops, and events, fostering a collaborative environment among fiber and mixed‑media practitioners. Participants are expected to commit to the full six‑month term, with an automated monthly payment due on the first of each month, mirroring a lease arrangement. Early termination is possible but may incur fees or loss of shelf space. The program does not include housing or a stipend; its primary aim is to support local artists seeking a stable, communal studio setting. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and interested artists can begin the enrollment process at any time by contacting The Weaving Workshop via email or through the provided cart link for payment.
