Lake Studios Berlin, a contemporary‑dance research and residency centre located on the outskirts of Berlin, invites artists working in movement, media, and interdisciplinary practices to apply for a self‑directed residency. The program runs for 1–4 weeks, with up to four residents or one or two groups at a time. Applicants receive 80 hours of pre‑booked studio time per month, private rooms with desks, a shared kitchen, high‑speed Wi‑Fi, and access to technical equipment. Residents can also participate in performance opportunities, such as work‑in‑progress showings and the Unfinished Fridays series, and receive professional support from the studio’s artistic production team, including dramaturgy, marketing, and press photo sessions. The residency fee, which covers studio time and accommodation, ranges from €700 to €1,250 per month per room, with additional costs for roommates or funded projects.
