关于此机会

Venezia Contemporanea, in collaboration with Galleria ScalaMata, is offering a fully funded one‑week residency for artists, writers, and researchers in the historic Jewish Ghetto of Venice. The residency, scheduled for 16‑30 September 2026, invites participants from all disciplines who wish to engage with themes of marginalization, discrimination, and Jewish heritage. Applicants are encouraged to develop site‑specific work and may benefit from optional exhibition space. In addition to the fully sponsored program, a partially sponsored residency—requiring a minimum of two weeks—is available on a rolling basis with no fixed deadline. The program supports artisans and craftspeople working in traditional disciplines such as mask‑making, glassblowing, ceramics, mosaics, marbling, textiles, and design, as well as designers exploring 3D‑printed prototypes and AI‑generated models. Applications for the fully sponsored residency close on 31 July 2026 and require a brief statement, a project plan, links to online work, and preferred dates. The residency offers full funding, including accommodation and materials, but does not specify a monetary stipend. The program is open to both Jewish and non‑Jewish artists and researchers, with a particular focus on projects that address the challenges faced by Jewish people and Israelis of all backgrounds today.
