La Maison de Beaumont offers a multi-disciplinary Artist Residency in the picturesque Luberon region of Provence, South of France. Located in an 18th-century village house in the medieval town of Beaumont-de-Pertuis (with origins tracing back to the 11th century), the residency provides a unique sanctuary for artists to focus on creative work and disconnect from their normal point of reference. Recognized as one of the Top Artist Residencies in South of France by Art Connect Magazine.
The residency is open to musicians, scholars, writers, painters, and diverse artists of all disciplines. Residents stay in fully renovated individual apartments with private bathroom and kitchen. The program offers access to a Music & Exhibition Room (equipped with a Yamaha N1X piano), a dedicated Fine Arts Atelier (within a minute's walk), painting stations, and a Common Terrace (open March to November) for relaxation, meditation, yoga, and networking.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, send an email to contact@lamaisondebeaumont.com including your preferred start date and duration, along with: 1) a Statement of Intent (details about your work and background, what inspires you about spending time at La Maison de Beaumont), and other required materials. Residencies last 1-3 months. Residents are expected to be friendly to local inhabitants and to donate a piece of work to La Maison de Beaumont or hold a public presentation/exhibition during their stay. Exhibition opportunities are available in the main vaulted room, the fine arts atelier, or through partnerships with the local chapel.
