The Grafenegg Festival invites composers and composition students from around the world to apply for Ink Still Wet 2027, a fully funded composer‑conductor workshop led by Steve Reich, Composer in Residence of the Grafenegg Festival 2027. The workshop takes place in two phases: 12–16 April 2027 in New York City and 19–28 August 2027 in Grafenegg, Austria. Up to five composers will be selected to develop a 5–7 minute orchestral work, receive conducting coaching from Steve Reich and David Robertson, rehearse with the Tonkünstler Orchestra, and present the world‑premiere at the Grafenegg Festival. The programme includes orchestra rehearsals, video analysis, career‑development labs and covers travel, accommodation and all production costs. No application or participation fee is required.

Fully funded workshop covering travel, accommodation, orchestra rehearsals, conducting coaching, video analysis, career‑development labs, and a public premiere concert.

Open to composers and composition students of any nationality; applicants must submit a composition sample and CV.
