The Emerging Curators Institute (ECI), a programme of Yearly Emerging Practices, is accepting applications for three Curating Fellowships for Minnesota‑based emerging curators and creatives. Fellows will participate in a ten‑month learning period (December 2026 – September 2027) that includes monthly cohort gatherings, individual mentorship, and the development of a public pop‑up presentation. Each fellow receives an initial $4,000 stipend to supplement income; additional travel and access support may be provided, but relocation and housing are not funded. The programme emphasizes support for women, non‑binary, LGBTQIA2S+, Black, Native, Indigenous, people of colour, disabled and neurodivergent applicants. Eligibility requires residence in Minnesota for the majority of 2027 and 2028, limited curatorial experience, and no full‑time enrollment in a degree‑seeking program. Applicants must be vaccinated against COVID‑19. An information session is scheduled for 20 October 2026. Applications close on 30 October 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
