关于此机会
Clare County Council, through its Per Cent for Art Scheme, is seeking proposals for a permanent, site‑specific public artwork to be installed in the garden of the Inis Cealtra (Holy Island) Visitor Experience Centre at The Old Rectory, Mountshannon. The commission is valued at €21,500 (incl. VAT) and will cover the artist’s fee, materials, fabrication and installation. A site visit is scheduled for 27 July 2026 (registration closes 24 July) and artists may attend to gather contextual information. Submissions are accepted via an online form until 17 September 2026; late applications will not be considered. The selection panel, chaired by a Clare County Council Arts representative, will assess proposals in October and notify successful artists by 31 October 2026. Evaluation criteria include the artist’s track record, originality, relevance to the site, feasibility, sustainability and budget allocation (minimum 25 % for artist fees). The brief welcomes individual artists, collectives, studios or foundries, with no restriction on nationality. Successful candidates will receive the commission fee, support for production and installation, and the opportunity to have their work permanently displayed in a culturally significant landscape. All required documentation (tax clearance, insurance, health‑and‑safety plans) will be requested at contract stage.
