The Ceramic Arts Network (CAN) runs CLAYflicks, an online video series that showcases tips, techniques, and studio insights from ceramic artists. CAN is currently accepting user‑submitted videos (called “QUICKflicks”) for possible publication on the CLAYflicks platform. Submissions are evaluated by CAN’s editorial staff on a once‑per‑month basis and, if selected, are featured on the CLAYflicks website and shared with the network’s audience. Videos must be 5‑10 minutes long, high‑quality, and shot in landscape orientation (cell‑phone footage is acceptable). Accepted file formats include MP4 (preferred), MOV, AVI, and others, with a maximum size of 400 MB. Applicants must provide a brief description, title, materials, firing temperature, dimensions, and an artist statement. Commercial suppliers are not eligible to submit videos featuring their products. No application fee is required. The primary benefit is exposure to CAN’s international community of ceramic artists, educators, and enthusiasts. Submissions are open on a rolling basis; there is no fixed deadline, and applications are reviewed monthly. This call is open to all ceramic artists, both U.S. and international, at any career stage, provided they are not commercial entities promoting products.
