关于此机会
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission’s Civic Art Division invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for the LA River Headwaters Canoga Park Civic Art Project. This site‑specific commission calls for a series of interpretive signage and hardscape elements along a quarter‑mile trail in the Canoga Park area of the Los Angeles River. The project aligns with the 2022 LA River Master Plan and community engagement plans, emphasizing the histories and natural environment of the river, particularly the First Peoples. Artists are encouraged to explore shared resources and deepen connections with the river, bridging past and future stewardship. The commission recognizes the Tongva, Tataviam, Serrano, Kizh, and Chumash peoples and commits to truth, healing, and reconciliation. The budget for the project is $290,000. Applications are due by August 27, 2026, 5 PM PT. The call is not a proposal submission; artists should submit qualifications only. An informational meeting will be held on August 4, 2026, and applications can be submitted via a Jotform link.
