The Schoolhouse for Art in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow offers a four‑day workshop (4‑7 August 2026) led by painter Bairbre Duggan. Designed for painters with a basic understanding of oil paint who feel their work is too tight, the course focuses on building a strong design foundation, colour‑mixing theory and techniques to loosen up painting. Participants will work from still‑life subjects, receive talks on Notan and value, watch demonstrations, and engage in hands‑on colour practice. Materials such as oil paints, brushes, palettes, and still‑life objects are required, and participants are asked to bring their own prepared surfaces.
