关于此机会
The Wild Basin Artist in Residence (AIR) program, hosted by St. Edward's University’s Wild Basin Creative Research Center, offers two residencies each year—one in spring and one in fall. The program is open to professional artists of any discipline who live in the greater Austin area. Residents receive a modest stipend, a small budget for materials, supplies, and equipment, and access to a dedicated workspace within the preserve’s trail system and the Creative Research Center. During the residency each artist must present two public workshops (one for adults, one for school‑age children), donate a work created during the residency to the Wild Basin permanent collection, and exhibit their work in the Visitor Gallery. Selections are made by a committee based on merit and alignment with Wild Basin’s environmental mission, with no consideration of race, religion, sex, disability, marital status, age, or national origin. Applications are submitted by email and must include a statement of goals, preferred residency period, résumé, digital work samples, and a signed form. The deadline for both the Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 cycles is October 31, 2026, with the application form available from July 1, 2026. Awards are announced one month before the residency start date.
