ARS GRATIA ARTIS WORLD FILM FESTIVAL is an exclusive competitive film event organized by the Swedish company Dorobantu Film & Television. The festival aims to present a top showcase of original feature and short films that fit the creative concept "Art for the Sake of Art"—films that prioritize artistic innovation over commercial entertainment. The festival takes place in Arboga, Sweden, at the Medborgarhuset Cinema Hall. It offers a range of awards, including a Great Ars Award for Best Film (feature or short) with a trophy and a 4000 SEK cash prize, as well as 2000 SEK cash prizes for other category winners. Additional cash prizes of 800 USD are also awarded. Selected films are considered for potential distribution agreements through a parallel market selection process. The festival is open to international filmmakers and is scheduled to run annually. The early submission deadline is 19 October 2026, with an entry fee of 5 USD for short films and 6 USD for feature films.
