Alley Open Mic is an open mic series presented by The Smiley House Project and GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, taking place on August 28, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the outdoor Thorn Alley Stage in Reading, PA (moving indoors to Thorn Alley Kitchen if weather requires). The event welcomes performances of all kinds and in all languages, including singing, rapping, comedy, poetry, dance, or other creative expressions, provided they are family‑friendly and can be delivered acoustically or via a Bluetooth‑compatible speaker (no amplifiers). Performances are allocated on a first‑come, first‑serve basis when doors open at 5:45 pm. No application fee is required; a suggested donation of $5 is mentioned for attendees. Refreshments are available for purchase. This constitutes an open call for artists to present their work in a public performance setting.
