The 7th Bolu International Poster Design Competition, organized by the Department of Graphic Arts of the Faculty of Fine Arts, continues to bring together designers from around the world. This year’s theme, “Beyond Horizons: Designing a Sustainable Future” invites participants to explore new perspectives on sustainability and global responsibility through poster design. The competition encourages participants to reflect on global challenges through the language of visual communication and to imagine new possibilities for a more responsible and sustainable world. “Beyond Horizons” suggests moving beyond existing limits in thought, technology, and society. Through poster design, participants are invited to develop creative visual interpretations that address sustainability, innovation, and global responsibility. Designers are encouraged to interpret the theme through their own visual language and conceptual perspectives. The theme of the 7th Bolu International Poster Design Competition is structured around the concept “Beyond Horizons: Designing a Sustainable Future.” The notion of “Beyond Horizons” refers to exploring new perspectives that go beyond established boundaries in thinking, design, and innovation. It invites designers to imagine alternative futures shaped by creativity, responsibility, and collaboration. Within this framework, the competition encourages participants to respond to contemporary global challenges through design. Sustainability is approached as a multidimensional concept that includes social, economic, and technological transformations. Poster design becomes a medium for visualizing ideas, raising awareness, and stimulating dialogue about possible futures. Posters should be related to the following sustainable development goals: • Quality Education (SDG 4) • Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) • Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9) • Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) • Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) Participants are invited to develop visual narratives that engage with these themes and expand creative thinking beyond present horizons. There is no limit to the number of posters that may be submitted. Submissions may range from critical and thought-provoking works to symbolic or experimental visual narratives that inspire reflection on the future. The competition aims to create an international platform where design can stimulate dialogue, raise awareness, and contribute to a shared vision of a more sustainable world.
