大林基金会“2027城市愿景”艺术家资助项目

The Obayashi Foundation has announced the sixth edition of its Visions of the City – Obayashi Foundation Research Program, a biennial research grant aimed at artists who wish to examine and propose solutions to urban challenges from a creative perspective. The program is open to artists of any nationality or place of residence, though applications must be submitted in Japanese. The entry period ran until September 15 2026, with registration accepted via the foundation’s website. Application documents were due between September 15 and October 15 2026 at 1 pm JST. Selected artists will receive a research grant covering the period from April 1 2027 to March 31 2029, during which they can conduct research, produce works, and present findings related to urban life. The program offers a unique opportunity to engage with city‑related themes across disciplines such as environment, economy, history, and the arts. The foundation’s selection committee will review submissions and announce the recipient in 2027.
