Way Beyond is a transdisciplinary residency program hosted by Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland. The program runs for 29 days in either April (2–30 April 2027) or May (3–31 May 2027) and invites curious, open‑minded individuals from art, design, science, philosophy, psychology, and related fields to explore the limits of reality, perception and consciousness. Applicants must be at least 23 years old, hold a university degree (or equivalent experience), and apply as individuals (duos must submit separate applications). Children and pets are not permitted, and participants with severe trauma or serious mental disorders are advised against applying. The residency offers studio spaces, private bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, Wi‑Fi, a traditional Finnish sauna, a meditation hall with daily voluntary sessions, weekly group meetings, a curated library, creative tools and equipment, two cars, a boat, bicycles, and pick‑up service for arrivals and departures. On‑site staff assist with practicalities and orientation. The program fee is €1,950 per person, with a reduced fee of €1,350 for those with financial constraints and an optional contributor fee of €2,610. There is no application fee. The application deadline is 29 October 2026; applicants submit an online application form via the program website. The residency emphasizes personal exploration over outcome production, providing a supportive, flexible environment for creative practice and research.
